Class Name: Social Media in the Classroom
Class Description:

This job-embedded class may just put that little spark in
your classroom. We will explore how social media can be used
in the classroom with students or parents. Also find
resources from social media to see what others are doing and
sharing. From web pages through Facebook, to various ways to
communicate with students and parents with Twitter to
viewing and sharing lesson plans and classroom activities
from Pintrest, this class will focus on using social media
in a professional manor. New to social media? This class is
a perfect way to begin and implement it into your classroom.

This job embedded course can offer a full graduate credit
hour. The third hour we will discuss how you can log your
time you spend trying to implement social media. The final
session in December you will be able to apply for one
credit hour through Ashland University.

This course is free to all districts with a TCCSA
Professional Development contract and $50 for all non-
districts. If you are unsure, contact your Treasurer or Tech
Coordinator. A graduate credit through Ashland University
