Class Name: CANCELED-Coding in the Curriculum (optional job embedded credit available)
Class Description:

The first two hours of this course will teach the basic
concepts of Computer Science
with drag and drop programming/commands through various apps
on the computer, Chromebook or iPad. Get resources and
lesson plans through these
apps to see how coding can fit into your curriculum. Don't
know coding? We will start
with the simplest form. It is a fun way for students to
understand how important
following instructions can affect the results. Learn how
easy it can be.
(Disclaimer: This class is not designed for Computer
Science/Career-Tech teachers,
but classroom teachers, librarians, etc. that want to
integrate some coding into
their lessons)

This job embedded course can offer a full graduate credit
hour. Stay for the third
hour to see how you can log your time in your classroom and
apply for one graduate
credit hour through Ashland University.

This course is free to all districts with a TCCSA
Professional Development contract.
Non-contract districts, see fees listed on the Professional
Development Classes web page. (www.tccsa.net) If you are
unsure, contact your
Treasurer or Tech Coordinator. A graduate credit through
Ashland University requires
15 hours of seat time and costs $200.
