Class Name: 6. Searching Safely with Copyright in Mind

Class Description:
Come play the "Google Game" as a strategy to improve your searching so
you and
your students can be more efficient online. This session will also cover
how to stay
safe online by setting strong passwords and how to use Incognito mode in
Chrome.
Learn how to search for images, while following copyright laws. Lastly,
Digital
Citizenship resources will be shared to help you when talking with
students about
sensitive topics.

Take this session as a stand alone, or in combination with sessions 8/12-
8/14 to
prepare for the Google Level 1 Certified Educator Exam. Click the

This training is free for districts with PD contracts. Contact your tech
coordinator or
treasurer if you are unsure whether your district has a contract. The non-
contract fee
for this two-hour training is $30.

Time earned can be applied toward CEU's or graduate credit through
Ashland
University upon completing 15 seat hours. The AU fee is $200 for all
participants
pursuing graduate credit.
